Do you love what you do? Do you make money doing what you do? Unfortunately, those two things don’t always go hand in hand. Doing something that you are passionate about and that you love doesn’t usually translate into being a multi-millionaire. With Valentine’s Day later this month we thought we would take a look at passion. Specifically, how doing the things you love and are passionate about don’t always equal financial riches but add value to your life in other ways.
Finding Your Passion For You
One example that many of us at OmniBiz Services can relate to is finding that balance as a mother. Whether you are a working mom who finds that passion and sense of purpose in your career or a stay-at-home mom who is passionate about volunteering in the community and PTA. The whole point is that you find something that you are passionate about, that you love doing, and do it for you. All the gurus are saying, hey, doing the thing you love it’ll bring in millions but that’s not reality for all of us. If that’s true, we’d all be millionaires!
Educating is a Labor of Love
There’s always gonna be people that do the things that they do and they don’t get paid (or paid enough) for because they love their job. Public educators are a perfect example! Many teachers spend evenings, weekends, and school breaks going above and beyond for their students. Educating others is a passion of most teachers. Teachers are not in their given profession with the intention of getting rich but to do something that they love, something that matters, and adds value to their life and the lives of those they teach!
So do the thing in your life that you love, if that’s being a stay at home mom, an educator, whatever your chosen profession is and throw everything you got at it. What are your passions? We’d love to hear that from you! Finding that passion doesn’t have to mean it’s the thing that brings in all the money. At the end of the day, love what you do!
