In order to be successful in a collaborative teaching situation, both people must be flexible, willing to listen to other opinions and ways of doing things, and great at communication. These are all qualities that I found Samantha Groff to have in my year spent collaboratively teaching with her. Samantha made great strides to make sure that I was informed as to what was going on in her classroom and asked frequently asked for my input regarding activities, testing, and other aspects of our shared teaching experience. We became a team, which resulted in increased success for our students. I have been lucky enough to continue to be a team with Samantha as she transfers these collaborative skills from the classroom to instructional design. Samantha has continued to make communication, collaboration, and teamwork her priorities as she builds her business. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to continue working with her!
